Oil Painting

An examination of techniques to improve an appreciation of oil painting through the use of colour theory, composition building, and painting material practice. Using paint as a medium to explore colour and projecting observable reality onto a two-dimensional surface. This was done with the goal of becoming acquainted with the medium's characteristics and then later engaging in compelling stylistic approaches.
